Community Conversations are intentionally hosted within historically disadvantaged communities – in the townships, informal settlements, inner cities and rural areas where economic activity and social engagement are most needed.

For this reason, we only accept venue offers that are located inside these communities.

If your venue is not based within a historically disadvantaged area, we invite you to support Community Conversations in other ways, such as attending a conversation event or becoming an advertising partner.

Community Conversations is a social-entrepreneurial initiative that creates income-generating opportunities for local residents. While free venues help maximise the impact, we also understand that venue owners within the community may rely on venue fees for their livelihood. Liability Clause. By offering a venue for South African Conversations’ Community Conversations, I acknowledge that this is a social-entrepreneurial collaboration aimed at benefiting communities, rather than a traditional business arrangement. I understand and agree that: • South African Conversations cannot be held liable for losses, theft or damages to the venue’s property, facilities or equipment arising from Community Conversations events. • South African Conversations is not responsible for unforeseen circumstances, including cancellations, disruptions or incidents. • Payment for venue use depends on securing an advertising partner. The venue may choose to postpone or host an event without charging for the venue. • Payment is contingent on the advertiser paying South African Conversations. South African Conversations bears no liability for unpaid earnings or financial losses resulting from advertiser non-payment. • The venue releases South African Conversations from any claims, liabilities or damages related to this collaboration.
